Mental Health Training Manual & K6 Mental Health Screening Tool

This web resource was developed by the Office of Aging and Long Term Care in the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas. The manual was developed over a three year period with the guidance of the Advisory Council comprised of key stakeholders in the provision of aging services. It was funded in part, through a contract with the Kansas Department on Aging and the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.

This page contains:
1. Mental Health Training Manual
2. Mental Health Training PowerPoint
3. The K6 Mental Health Screening Tool - The K6 is a format used to assist aging
services providers and their consumers in identifying potential mental health problems older adults may be facing.  The tool helps providers focus on which older adults might benefit from referrals and mental health resources.
