Strengths-Based Online Training

If you are a student or social work practitioner who has completed licensure and want CEUs, want to incorporate knowledge of social work and aging issues into your field of practice, or just want to enhance your existing knowledge of aging issues then you can benefit from our on-line modules!

The KU School of Social Welfare Office of Aging and Long Term Care with funding from the Institute for Geriatric Social Work at Boston University has developed on-line modules.

Modules include:

  • Basic Issues in Aging: The Strengths Perspective
  • Diversity and Cross Cultural Competence in Assessment and Intervention with Older Adults: The Strengths Perspective

  • Legal and Ethical Issues in working with Older Adults

Module lengths vary and will be from 1 to 2 hours earning 1-2 CEUs
