you to sites that relate to my projects and affiliations with
Korean and East Asian Studies, as well as several of my favorite
Korean culture/religions sites.
The program immerses social
work students in Korean culture and the philosophical, spiritual,
religious, theoretical, and ideological bases of Korean social welfare
through classes, three weeks study abroad, and extra-curricular
activities. Most educational and travel expenses of student
participants will be covered via a scholarship. Contact

The
Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at the University of Kansas
was founded in 1959 and today remains the only such resource center
in the entire Great Plains region. Its aim is to enhance skills
in, and the knowledge and awareness of, the languages, traditions
and the contemporary importance of East Asia among all the people
of our state and nation. On campus, it promotes language instruction,
study abroad, international careers, visiting speakers, student
activities, and cooperation among the College and professional schools

The Koreanists web site offers a
free online database of Korean studies scholars and students. It
has been constructed to provide users with easy access to up-to-date
information about scholars of Korean studies around the world. (This

KU is partnering with Hallym
University for inter-university exchanges and study abroad. Hallym
is a major private university in South Korea. Hallym has been named
a "Distinguished University" by the Korean Ministry of Education for
a number of years, and it was ranked on of the top ten universities
in Korea by the Joong-Ang Daily newspaper in 2003.
The Academy of Korean Studies is
a prestigious academic institute dedicated to research on Korea. CIKC
has been established to help locate distorted information on Korea
and to provide the impetus and advice to correct it.
