Field Liaisons Information

Field liaisons are an integral part of the field practicum. Some liaisons are School of Social Welfare faculty members, while others are professional social workers hired by the field office to fill this important role. Liaisons help to form the link between students, field agencies and practice instructors. Liaisons are required to attend field-related orientations, workshops, and forums to help them in this role. They are the “go-to” person for all of the above entities to help connect the dots in the student’s learning experience. They provide “trouble-shooting” and consultation and ultimately submit grades for students in field. They provide valuable feedback to the Field Education Dept. We are extremely appreciative of the approximately 25 liaisons that assist the students in the field each year.
