BSW Information

Students in the BSW program complete a field practicum during their senior year. Undergraduates are referred to agencies that can provide them with the generalist foundation necessary to work in the field upon graduation. These include public health settings, community mental health centers, child welfare agencies, court services, senior centers, and community development projects. BSW students are in field 16 hours a week for 30 weeks throughout the course of their senior year. They stay at the same agency for both the fall and spring semesters completing a total of 480 clock hours in one setting.
