Bachelor's of Social Work (BSW)
Intro
The 2+2 Bachelor of Social Work degree-completion program is offered as a partnership between the KU School of Social Welfare and Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) to provide upper-level social work courses in the Kansas City area. The program is for students who are completing or who have completed an associate's degree and are interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree. Students in the 2+2 BSW degree-completion program take the upper-level social work courses required for the BSW with KU professors who teach on the KCKCC campus.
This program prepares students for work in public or private social agencies in hospitals or other supervised health care settings. Social workers may respond to concerns such as aging, alcoholism, unemployment, homelessness, family violence, child abuse and neglect, health care and many other human service issues.
