Financial Aid Information
The KU School of Social Welfare provides many opportunities for financial
assistance to doctoral students. The School directly provides Teaching
Assistantships in many areas of the curriculum and Research Assistantships
in many fields of research. We also occasionally have some privately
funded scholarships for students of color. In recent
years, all students who wished to have a Research or Teaching Assistantship
have received one. For information about these and other Graduate School
based awards, see the Doctoral Program Handbook Appendix on Doctoral Student
Funding Opportunities.
You can find additional information on Funding
Opportunities in Section XIX of the appendix of the Ph.D.. Handbook found
here: Ph.D. Handbook
The KU Graduate School provides a variety of highly competitive awards,
scholarships, and fellowships for entering and continuing students.
Completion of application to our program by November 20 is necessary to be
considered for these. See the University of Kansas website (Graduate School)
for information.
